Schmid PROCESS ENGINEERING

Process engineering support, on demand

Your team shouldn't have to turn down good opportunities because engineering capacity is stretched.

I help plant builders and engineering companies with specialist projects: burner systems, gasification, fluidized bed technology, CO₂ capture.

Schmid Process Engineering

How I help

Project sales support
Technical clarification, flow sheets, mass and energy balances, basic engineering and cost calculation.
Detailed engineering
Process design, equipment selection, risk assessment and full documentation.
R&D and funding
Market analysis, defining the right research question, finding suitable partners from research and industry, and putting together funding applications that get approved.
Extra engineering capacity

About Max Schmid

I'm Dr.-Ing. Max Schmid, an independent process engineer working with plant builders and engineering companies who need specialist process know-how or extra capacity.

Eight years leading applied research at the University of Stuttgart, then four years in industry leading plant engineering teams and projects, most recently as division head in burner and gas plant technology at SCHARR TEC. I combine a strong theoretical foundation with practical, hands-on project experience in combustion, gasification, fluidized bed technology and CO2 capture.

You'll find more about me, plus updates on current projects and technical deep-dives, on LinkedIn.

Leave with a clearer next step.

We'll use the time to understand the actual work, identify what is holding it up and decide whether external support makes sense.

01

Define the objective

What needs to be delivered, by when, and what business or technical outcome does it support?

02

Clarify the open questions

Identify missing information, technical uncertainties, interfaces and any relevant regulatory or organizational context.

03

Shape the scope of support

Discuss which tasks could be delegated, what your team should retain, and who else may need to be involved.

04

Agree on useful next steps

Outline a practical path forward, including deliverables, priorities and a possible way of working together.
